Tremr.com launched in the Summer of 2014, just a couple of months after I joined the team as Content Strategist.
Now in an open beta phase, Tremr.com already has hundreds of users publishing content ranging from politcal journalism to fashion galleries, personal narratives to restaurant reviews, most of which focuses on North Brooklyn, where the Tremr team lives.
The Tremr user is smart, savvy, networked. She not only consumes and shares content but also writes and publishes her own, original content through which she engages friends and followers.

Each location offers open-table coworking memberships, dedicated-desk memberships and private offices ranging from single-desk suites to 20-desk headquarters for startups like Blue Apron, Makr, and Output.
I was the first hire at The Yard and helped grow the business, working across content, marketing, sales, operations, and events.
It’s been an incredible experience, meeting so many innovative, ambitious people. I've been fortunate to work with the CEOs from companies like Uber, OKCupid, TalkSpace and more, not to mention the creative freelance community of developers, filmmakers, photographers, bloggers, screenwriters, and graphic designers who worked at The Yard.
Over the years, I've produced conferences and art exhibitions, helmed operations and marketing, and most recently served as project manager for the complete resdesign of The Yard's website.

For two years I leased an old grocery store in Bushwick and operated the wildest speakeasy music venue in Brooklyn. Four nights a week we hosted live bands on the street level and DJs in the basement, catering to an extreme NYC youth culture.
People called it Bodega.
Working with Ed Zipco, Steve Roberts, Eric Morrell and others, I developed the Bodega from an empty shell into a profitable music venue. I booked performers, facilitated the events and staff, as well as managed all marketing and promotions for the venue.
Throughout the year we hosted events with numerous partners including CMJ Music Festival, BAM Sounds Like Brooklyn Festival, Capcom with Street Fighter IV, MyOpenBar.com and numerous independent production companies.
“It’s an all-purpose arts venue,” Chief founder and editor Andy P. Smith says of the bi-level space, which is actually hidden behind a bodega storefront. “Art exhibits, basement dance parties, all-night rock shows, etc.”
“Carved out of the bombed-out interior of an old Bushwick bodega (the exterior signage still touts the El Elevado Deli Corp.), this decrepit-on-purpose tiny music venue is all exposed pipes, slapdash ceiling paint, and caked sweat. The main room is on the ground-level floor, a surprisingly well lit space where large-scale doodles of thunder bolts and Japanese-monster-movie robots deck the white walls. The bands play on the floor in the back, with rambunctious crowds usually spilling into the night’s acts. Downstairs is the expansive, grody basement, the type of place that would be good for stashing bodies if it weren’t already overrun with Brooklynites sucking down $3 Buds.”
“It was hard to get a decent picture of either Ninjasonik or the Death Set because the half of the room closest to the stage was a riptide whirlpool of moshing, and the stage itself was mostly taken up by hot chicks.”
“Whatever you did on Wednesday night probably wasn’t as raucous as Spank Rock’s “secret” set with Japanther at Bushwick space Bodega. Highlights included the crowd-surfing lady with a Budweiser leotard and polka-dotted high heels, Japanther’s shirtless drummer, and Naeem Juwan in a tie.”

Northside Festival Saves Brooklyn Bands the Airfare to Austin
NEW YORK TIMES -- Now in its fifth year, the Northside Festival, running from Thursday through June 20, has grown into a compact and intensely Brooklyn counterpoint to South by Southwest. The festival will feature 400 bands, three quarters of them local, appearing at 30 clubs, from dives like the Trash Bar to the Music Hall of Williamsburg. Like the Austin organizers, the Stedmans have added a four-day film festival and a two-day expo and conference for high-tech entrepreneurs, called NExT.

Uber CEO talks funding, regulation and what really happened during NYC free taxi week
FORTUNE -- On-demand car service Uber is not currently raising new venture capital funding, according to comments made by CEO Travis Kalanick last Friday at the Northside Festival in Brooklyn. It also hasn't raised any new capital since late 2011, nor have its early employees or investors sold any shares via "secondary" transactions.
This comes nearly two months after Kalanick first disputed a Reuters report that Uber was raising new money at a $1 billion valuation.
Each summer, The Northside Festival celebrates the best of music, film, art and innovation for seven days and nights across dozens of venues in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Co-Founder of OkCupid, Christian Rudder, entertains a sold-out crowd with a presentation featuring user data analysis from his forthcoming book, Dataclysm.
CEO of Uber, Travis Kalanick, and NYC Taxi and Limousine Commissioner, David Yassky, discuss the future of taxi "e-hails" and government regulation with Dan Primack of Forbes Magazine.
While at Benetton, I also worked as Contributing Editor at Fab Magazine and Copyeditor and Feature Contributor for COLORS Magazine.
In my two years as Editor-In-Chief, I produced 10 polished issues relating to themes such as Justice, Faith, Technology, War, Post Modernity, and Freedom (with 3-D glasses).
Working at The Prattler I learned how to collaborate with a creative team of writers and designers, how to manage a production budget, and how to successfully publish five annual issues of the magazine.
Some of my Prattler articles were republished in my book, Welcome to the Land of Cannibalistic Horses (2005), including the essay “Face to Face with the Post-Orgy Dilemma: The 3rd Annual BET Awards”.
