For my first Quartz story, I wrote about the experience of publishing my first book with Puberty Press. I wrote it to commemorate the 10th anniversary of my book, Welcome to the Land of Cannibalistic Horses. In the process I came to confess the truth: I made it all up.

My second story focused on a great love of mine: The Grateful Dead. I focused specifically on how much money I was spending to go with my dad to the Fare Thee Well shows in Chicago... any why. Why was I spending nearly $5,000 to do this?
